The Irish Association of Steel Fabricators (IASF), a leading association for members of the metal
fabrication and manufacturing industry, is proud to announce the celebration of its 10-year
anniversary. Since its inception in 2014, the IASF team has been committed to promoting excellence,
collaboration, innovation and much more to members of the industry, and this milestone marks a
momentous journey of growth and success.
To coincide with our anniversary, we are thrilled to announce an exciting rebranding initiative that
marks a significant milestone in the company’s evolution. The comprehensive transformation
encompasses a shorter brand name for the association (Irish Steel), a new logo and visual identity,
an updated vision for the association and a new mission statement to support our updated vision, all
of which when combined is set to redefine Irish Steel’s presence in the market. We have also
developed a new website, designed to be a place for industry members to go to find information or
industry-specific support. The website will soon be further supported with a Member’s App so that
members of Irish Steel can connect and collaborate easily with each other.
Over the years, Irish Steel has grown from a modest startup to becoming a prominent influencer and
advocate in the metal fabrication and manufacturing sector. Through solid commitment and a
persistent pursuit of promoting professionalism and excellence to industry members, the
association’s leadership team has successfully helped business leaders to accelerate the growth and
development of many manufacturing and fabrication companies all across the island of Ireland.
Irish Steel has developed “The Training Hub” where the team provide industry-specific training and
“The Certification Hub” to support fabrication and manufacturing companies to implement business
systems and achieve certification to EU and International Standards.
Last October we held the inaugural Irish Steel Awards in Portlaoise. It was a major success where we
showcased the skills and achievements of many of our members. The event attracted much interest
from investors, clients, contractors, specifiers and fabricators alike, from all across the country. The
2024 Awards will be launched in May this year and the Gala Night, Dinner and Awards Presentation
function will be held yet again at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on 4 th October next.
During May this year, we will hold our first of many future regional events. The events will be held
every three months at different locations all around the country and we will invite members, non-
members, industry partners, industry experts and suppliers to come together for an afternoon and
evening of information sharing, education, relationship building and socialising.
Irish Steel has an updated Vision:
By making outstanding programmes and services available, our membership will participate
and collectively benefit from an increase in excellence within the Irish metal fabrication and
manufacturing industry’s community.
And we have an updated Mission Statement:
We are dedicated to helping our members build more resilient and successful businesses by
bringing industry stakeholders together to share knowledge and use their collective
experiences for good during the time that we set the seeds for collaborative mindsets to
become the daily norm amongst all members of our industry & community.
The team at Irish Steel looks forward to supporting the membership for many more decades!
