Membership Application Requirements

To become a member of Irish Steel, all applicants are required to supply the following:

1. Provide a copy of their current insurance.
2. Provide a copy of their current Certification, i.e., ISO / EN 1090, etc.
3. Complete relevant information contained on the Irish Steel Application documents.

Admission of Members

The Membership Team will review applications received for membership and complete an internal review. When Irish Steel considers the member fully verified, and their fees are paid, membership shall commence.

Accountability Measures

Personal data of Members shall be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and shall be:

• Processed lawfully, fairly and transparently.
• Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes.
• Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary.
• Kept accurate and up to date.
• Stored securely using modern software.
• Accessed only by personnel who need access.
• Deleted safely when no longer necessary.
• Backed up with appropriate disaster recovery solutions.

Irish Steel member contact information is for personal use only and improper use will result in membership revocation.

Code of Conduct for Irish Steel Members

Irish Steel members must agree to adhere to the following conditions:

• Conduct themselves ethically, responsibly and respectfully.
• Use the Irish Steel logo to promote membership.
• Not act as official representatives of Irish Steel unless stipulated otherwise.

Complaint & Feedback Mechanism

Members are encouraged to express concerns and provide feedback on the organisation’s direction.

Section A: Irish Steel Privacy Statement

Personal information collected by Irish Steel is used for various purposes including distributing societal information, promoting programmes and services, soliciting member views, analysing demographic information, facilitating networking, and harnessing member expertise. Information is retained for a limited period and not sold to third parties.

Section B: Irish Steel Membership: Acceptable Use Policy

Irish Steel member contact information is for personal use only, and improper use will result in membership revocation.

By submitting their application, applicants affirm their adherence to Irish Steel’s purposes and code of ethics, understanding that membership is neither transferable nor refundable.

Members and their contact details will not be distributed to anyone outside of Irish Steel.

Members will, from time to time be listed on our social media and website to advertise their achievements and services.

We do not share lists containing member’s details with anyone. Irish Steel on your behalf will, where necessary, advertise a brand to the Members on your behalf.
