Who Should Nominate
Companies making components, products or fabricated solutions used in cleanrooms, healthcare, industry, automotive, manufacturing and other applied environments.
Eligibility
Open to all Irish Steel members. You can nominate your own company or another member, and you can enter more than one category — just submit each entry separately.
Entries should be based on work that was completed or significantly progressed between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2026. A handful of categories don't specify a time window — when in doubt, get in touch.
What Judges Look For
Each entry is reviewed by our judging panel. For finished projects, judges weigh:
- Quality of the end result
- Innovation and technical execution
- Project complexity and scale
- Collaboration with suppliers and clients
- Uniqueness
Submission Requirements
Every submission needs:
- A short project summary (50 words)
- The story of the project (800–1,000 words) — what you built, how you solved problems, the materials and techniques, the operational excellence, innovation and technology involved
- A strong case for why it deserves to win (up to 500 words)
- At least two high-quality images (up to five allowed)
- Your company logo in PNG format

Aggregate Hopper

McAree Engineering manufactured a complete bespoke aggregate hopper system for the Client including the hopper shell, lid assembly, integrated toolboxes, fittings, and wet-spray finish. Combining advanced steel fabrication, precision welding, and robust design, the project delivered a durable, high-quality solution for demanding road maintenance and infrastructure operations.

OMC Technologies
OMC Technologies was commissioned to design, manufacture, and install 670 bespoke furniture units for the cleanroom facilities of a Cell Therapy manufacturing plant located within a leading Bioscience Park in the Netherlands. The project involved the design and production of a wide range of custom Grade 316 stainless steel furniture, incorporating European Schuko power outlets and integrated data connections to support critical cleanroom operations. In addition, OMC Technologies supplied and installed 79 utility poles complete with certified compressed air and gas distribution services, providing essential infrastructure throughout the facility.

Marcus P. Graham Ironworks Ltd
Marcus P Graham Ironworks detailed and fabricated a bespoke outdoor steel bike enclosure for the Evara Portmarnock development. Modelled entirely in Tekla, the structure features robust steel framing, secure mesh sides, and a Black RAL finish ,with integrated colour-matched gutters.
Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Pipe Racks OSM
OMC Technologies
OMC Technologies successfully fabricated 106 structural stainless steel pipe racks for an API manufacturing facility in Denmark. Manufactured from 600 tonnes of EN 10088-4 Grade 304 stainless steel and built to Execution Class 3 standards, the project was delivered through close collaboration with the client, achieving high-quality and efficient project outcomes.
Hot Gas Duct and Valve Replacement – Irish Cement
Tusker Steelworks Limited
Tusker Steelworks successfully delivered the replacement of the 36539 Coal Mill 3 Hot Gas Duct and Valve for Irish Cement during the plant's annual shutdown. The project required detailed planning, precision fabrication, specialist lifting operations, and efficient installation within a tightly controlled shutdown programme. The works involved the complete removal and replacement of a critical hot gas duct and valve assembly, ensuring the new system was fabricated, installed, and commissioned safely and efficiently within the allocated shutdown period.
King & Moffatt Offsite — Prestige Automotive Manufacturing Expansion
King & Moffatt Off-Site
King & Moffatt Offsite designed and delivered an industry-leading offsite MEP solution for a major prestige automotive manufacturing expansion in the south of England, eliminating approximately 12,000 on-site labour hours and delivering €1,000,000 in project value through eight large, prefabricated modules produced in our 40,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.
Mill Road: Ireland's First Offsite Manufactured Ground Floor Balcony System

Extreme Balconies delivered 159 fully assembled balconies for Cairn Homes at Mill Road, including Ireland’s first offsite manufactured ground floor balcony system. Manufactured and assembled across our Newcastle and Clane facilities, the project significantly reduced site labour, eliminated site welding and achieved exceptional quality throughout.

The integrated cover provides secure access to underground equipment while protecting workers from falls. The integrated fixed safety system enables safe entry and exit of goods during inspection and maintenance, helping reduce risk, improve compliance with safety standards, and enhance operational efficiency.

McAree Engineering partnered with Dentech to design, engineer and manufacture a bespoke mobile cabinet for the AirDog SporTect air sanitisation system. Developed from concept through production, the solution combined hygienic stainless-steel construction, innovative weld-free assembly, advanced manufacturing technology and design-for-manufacture principles to create a robust, scalable and industry-compliant product.
