Credit Clinic Day with Aon

A one-to-one look at your credit risk with Aon's Trade Credit team

As part of your Irish Steel membership, Aon's Trade Credit team are running a credit clinic at our Portlaoise offices on Wednesday 18th November. It's a practical, confidential day for financial controllers, owners and managing directors, and anyone else who makes the credit decisions in your business.

A) Top Ten Debtor Review

A one-to-one, confidential review of your key customers. Before the clinic you send Aon a list of your top ten debtors by exposure, with each one's full name, company registration number and highest potential credit exposure. On the day, Aon go through the list with you and give you:

• the insurance market's view of your key customer exposures
• insight to support more informed, risk-aware credit decisions
• an early warning of any potential or emerging issues
• a view of concentration risks and potential vulnerabilities

B) Credit Insurer Readiness Review

This one looks at how trade credit insurers see your business, and how that affects your trading with your own suppliers. Many suppliers rely on trade credit insurance. When insurers such as Allianz Trade, Atradius or Coface have complete, up-to-date information on your company, it's easier for them to grant the right credit limits on you, which means smoother trading, fewer order delays and less risk of low or declined limits on your account.

Aon will explain how insurers assess companies and what information they look for, and you'll leave with practical steps so the information is already in place when a supplier applies for a credit limit on your company.
