We provide varying levels of strategic services to members of the Irish fabrication & manufacturing community, north and south, where the end result of the value-added services we provide lies in the knowledge and experience or tools we have that are needed to answer some pretty complicated questions.
We have membership packages for fabricators & manufacturers (businesses that manufacture and sometimes install or erect products, structures and engineered solutions) that support your growth as a business in the Irish metal fabrication industry.
We have membership packages for industry partners (businesses that supply equipment, consumables and services into the manufacturing sector) to help boost their marketing efforts, generate warm leads & connect them with our community of fabricators & manufacturers.
Irish Steel is announcing a new membership tier for startup businesses in the metal fabrication and manufacturing sectors. We call it SUMM (StartUp Manufacturer Membership) and membership fees will be waived for two years.

Hello everyone,
It is an honour to introduce myself as the newly appointed President of Irish Steel for 2025. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to my predecessor, Fergus Naughton, for his unwavering dedication and leadership over the past year. Fergus, your contributions have paved the way for continued growth and success, and I am eager to build on the solid foundation you’ve established.
As I step into this role, my vision for Irish Steel is one of collaboration, growth, and community. Our industry is evolving rapidly, and it is my mission to ensure that Irish Steel continues to lead from the front. I am committed to fostering an environment where fabricators, suppliers, and industry partners come together with a shared purpose, working towards common goals.
A key focus for my presidency will be to expand our membership and deliver even greater value to those who have already invested in Irish Steel. We must ensure that this organisation remains dynamic and relevant, providing real, tangible benefits to all our members.
One of the cornerstone initiatives I will be prioritising is the rollout of the Trust Steel programme. This initiative will set new benchmarks for quality and safety within our industry, allowing members to demonstrate their commitment to excellence in health, safety, and environmental standards. Compliance with Trust Steel will enable fabricators and manufacturers to not only meet but exceed the highest industry requirements.
Additionally, we will reenergise our Irish Steel Roadshows and regional events. These gatherings will be more than just opportunities to network—they will be platforms for meaningful collaboration, bringing together professionals from across the industry to share knowledge, forge new partnerships, and explore growth opportunities.
Education is at the heart of our efforts. Investing in the skills and development of our workforce is vital to the future of our industry. Strengthening the connections between fabricators and industry partners will ensure the continued success and innovation of Irish Steel, benefiting not just individual businesses, but the entire sector.
In conclusion, I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you. Together, we have the power to shape the future of the steel industry in Ireland, pushing boundaries and achieving even greater things. Thank you for your trust, and I look forward to working with each of you in the year ahead.
Kind regards,
Sandra Byrne
2025 President of Irish Steel
