Who Should Nominate
Furniture, special pieces and unusual architectural metalwork that doesn't sit in the other Architectural Metalwork categories.
Eligibility
Open to all Irish Steel members. You can nominate your own company or another member, and you can enter more than one category — just submit each entry separately.
Entries should be based on work that was completed or significantly progressed between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2026. A handful of categories don't specify a time window — when in doubt, get in touch.
What Judges Look For
Each entry is reviewed by our judging panel. For finished projects, judges weigh:
- Quality of the end result
- Innovation and technical execution
- Project complexity and scale
- Collaboration with suppliers and clients
- Uniqueness
Submission Requirements
Every submission needs:
- A short project summary (50 words)
- The story of the project (800–1,000 words) — what you built, how you solved problems, the materials and techniques, the operational excellence, innovation and technology involved
- A strong case for why it deserves to win (up to 500 words)
- At least two high-quality images (up to five allowed)
- Your company logo in PNG format
Optional but welcome: video links, drawings, and media features.

Cairns T2 Metal Edging
Marcus P. Graham Ironworks Ltd
Marcus P. Graham Ironworks fabricated a bespoke galvanized and painted steel edging system for the Cairns T2 Block A development. Modeled in Tekla, this modular system uses 5mm base plates and 4mm stiffening fins to create precise, durable, and clean landscape borders throughout the residential site.

IDS designed and manufactured a bespoke package of architectural steel glazing, combining E30 fire-rated systems with precision-engineered curved steel screens and reeded glass. Manufactured entirely in-house, the project showcases exceptional craftsmanship, technical innovation and compliance, delivering a striking architectural feature that seamlessly balances aesthetics, functionality and life safety.

James Whelan's Butchers - Bespoke Aged Drying Steel Cabinet & Shelving Units- Dunnes Store - Patrick Street Cork
IDS Irish Door Systems Ltd
IDS designed, manufactured and installed a bespoke temperature-controlled dry-ageing display cabinet, combining precision-engineered steel glazing, automated access and adaptable shelving into a striking retail feature. The project seamlessly integrated food safety, environmental control and architectural design, creating an engaging customer experience while showcasing premium dry-aged meat in a controlled maturation environment.
level 10 Roof Terrace Pergolas & Planters - 2 Grand Canal Quay
OMC Technologies
OMC were contracted to design manufacture and install Pergola & planters to Level 10 roof terrace 2GCQ. 2 Grand Canal Quay is a high-end, next-generation office tower built to attract big global firms to Dublin. It stands out because of: • Its size and prominence in the Docklands skyline (basement + 15 floors) • Basement includes parking, bike storage, showers, and plant areas • Upper floors are flexible, designed for single HQ tenant or multi-tenant use • Strong sustainability credentials • Premium design aimed at modern hybrid workplaces
