The Story
On the back of massive growth, the company has built a new production facility to allow for the continued expansion of the business into the next decade. The facility is purpose built and has been designed to incorporate as many practical features as possible, to allow for the business to operate far more efficiently than at its previous premises.
This has been achieved by having a flow through operation from the unloading to the steel members to mechanical handling to allow the beams to cut and drilled, then onto the fabricators and ultimately the new blasting and painting area.
The building has a 5000m2 production area with a further 680m2 of offices on 2 floors. Plus there is a 6m wide Canopy to 3 sides of the building. The external yard, parking and landscaping add a further 10,000m2 to the project.
The design of the building is such to create as much open and flexibility space as possible. Clad with Insulated panels to the roof and external walls, with feature brickwork and glazed façade to the office Area.
The premises would not be complete without the addition of new overhead and jib cranes, along with the rollers and transfer tables that have made a massive contribution to the material handling side of the operation.
The Construction build, from starting on site to having operatives working in the premises was 8 months.

Black Rock Clinic -Prefabricated Plant Room
Hayes Mechanical and Engineering
At Blackrock Clinic, Hayes M&E delivered a prefabricated steel plantroom built on a 110 mm composite concrete floor to match the hospital's frequency. Fully fitted off-site in Mayo — steel, AHU, pipework, cladding — the ~28 t module was hauled 250 km and craned into a live hospital under radioactive-dispatch and exam-restricted working hours.
Breedon Cement SRF Facility
Ryan Structural Steel Services
Breedon Cement Kinnegad – New Industrial Process Tower The Breedon Cement Kinnegad Process Tower project involved the design and construction of a new multi-storey industrial structure within a live cement manufacturing facility. Delivered in a highly constrained operational environment, the project enhanced the site's operational capability while maintaining strict safety, quality, and production requirements. The completed structure provides a modern, durable, and future-ready asset that integrates seamlessly into one of Ireland's leading cement production facilities.
