Design, Fabricate, Powder Coat and install a three level extension to workflows and equipment supports within the Castolin Eutectic Dublin Production facility
The Story
BBSF was tasked directly by Castolin Eutectic Ireland to extend a three level mezzanine floor area that housed equipment and workspace for staff. The new structure needed to tie in seamlessly with the existing while working around live services and machinery.
BBSF's design team worked closely with Castolin Eutectic Ireland and Canada to design a structure that met the requirements of the expanded space while housing specialist equipment moving from their Canadian facility. The Irish facility needed to remain operational all of the time so careful consideration was needed for the install so day to day operations were not to be disrupted. To allow the install of the new equipment the structure needed to carefully timed in three stages and tied to expected delivery dates from Canada to avoid any storage. All elements had to be bolted as no hot works were allowed.
Why It Should Win
BBSF carried out the works flawlessly, no down time of the three install windows. All works completed on budget and agile enough to adjust the work sequence four times allowing for equipment shipping changes.

Hayes Mechanical and Engineering
At Blackrock Clinic, Hayes M&E delivered a prefabricated steel plantroom built on a 110 mm composite concrete floor to match the hospital's frequency. Fully fitted off-site in Mayo — steel, AHU, pipework, cladding — the ~28 t module was hauled 250 km and craned into a live hospital under radioactive-dispatch and exam-restricted working hours.
