The Story
Designed by O'Neill O'Malley Architects, constructed by Lymar Ltd, and engineered by DRA Consulting Engineers, the Croom Medical Expansion Project is a landmark industrial and healthcare-related development that combines striking architectural design with high-quality steel construction.
ODS Engineering was responsible for the supply, fabrication and installation of approximately 130 tonnes of structural steel, together with the complete roof and wall cladding package (4000mtrs). Leveraging advanced technologies including Trimble X7 point-cloud scanning and automated CNC fabrication, the project was delivered with exceptional precision, quality, and efficiency.
The completed facility provides a modern, high-performance environment to support the continued growth of Croom Medical in Limerick. Through the successful collaboration of O'Neill O'Malley Architects, Lymar Ltd, DRA Consulting Engineers and ODS Engineering, the project stands as a showcase of excellence in Irish design, engineering and steel construction.

Black Rock Clinic -Prefabricated Plant Room
Hayes Mechanical and Engineering
At Blackrock Clinic, Hayes M&E delivered a prefabricated steel plantroom built on a 110 mm composite concrete floor to match the hospital's frequency. Fully fitted off-site in Mayo — steel, AHU, pipework, cladding — the ~28 t module was hauled 250 km and craned into a live hospital under radioactive-dispatch and exam-restricted working hours.
Breedon Cement SRF Facility
Ryan Structural Steel Services
Breedon Cement Kinnegad – New Industrial Process Tower The Breedon Cement Kinnegad Process Tower project involved the design and construction of a new multi-storey industrial structure within a live cement manufacturing facility. Delivered in a highly constrained operational environment, the project enhanced the site's operational capability while maintaining strict safety, quality, and production requirements. The completed structure provides a modern, durable, and future-ready asset that integrates seamlessly into one of Ireland's leading cement production facilities.
