The Story
Tusker’s material segregation systems exemplify engineering excellence in Irish manufacturing. Designed and built entirely in our 40,000 sq ft facility in Broomfield, County Monaghan, these modular systems are tailored to both retrofit projects in live facilities and new plant installations.
The challenge was to deliver high-performance segregation equipment that integrates seamlessly into existing operations while remaining scalable for future expansions. Tusker responded with a precision-engineered, modular solution that combines robust fabrication with advanced design and automation capabilities.
We manufacture a wide range of custom segregation equipment, including conveyors, trommels, and optical sorters — each configured to match specific material streams and site layouts. Key features include flexible modular construction, corrosion-resistant materials, integration with plant control systems, and built-in noise and dust reduction.
Certified to EN 1090, ISO 3834, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, Tusker maintains an impeccable compliance record. Our fabrication process involves CAD-led design, CNC machining, TIG/MIG welding, and stringent in-house testing. We collaborate closely with plant operators and consultants to ensure retrofit projects are carefully planned and phased to minimise disruption.
End users benefit from faster material processing, enhanced safety, reduced downtime, and long-term scalability. These systems support landfill diversion goals and strengthen circular economy practices across the sector.
"Tusker’s material segregation systems represent the highest standards of Irish manufacturing — combining precision, innovation, and long-term reliability. Designed for both retrofit and new plant installations, each system is tailored to meet specific operational needs while supporting landfill diversion and circular economy goals. What sets us apart is our full lifecycle approach. We don’t just deliver bespoke, high-performance equipment — we back it with 24/7 support, including a mobile maintenance team ready to respond quickly and minimise downtime. This submission highlights more than just a product; it reflects our commitment to driving progress in material segregation through smart engineering, environmental responsibility, and dedicated client service."

Advanced Robotic Welding Solution for Water Treatment Tanks
Fabtech Robotics
This project represents a major achievement in innovation, engineering, and impact within the Irish steel fabrication industry. A key breakthrough was the creation of a telescopic welding Z stroke system—the first of its kind. This eliminated the need for a traditional pit to rotate large tanks, enabling welding to take place within the existing head height of the building. It allowed full access to all weld points on tanks weighing up to 20 tons, saving the client substantial facility modificat
Ground Mount Systems for Solar Panels
Murray Engineering & Installation
The MEI Modular Ground Mount System is a transformative innovation in Irish steel engineering, offering a locally manufactured, structurally certified solution for Ireland’s rapidly expanding solar energy sector. It is the first ground mount solar frame system designed and produced in Ireland, providing a high-quality alternative to the predominately Chinese imported frames that have dominated the market. Manufactured in Carrickmacross by Murray Engineering & Installation (MEI), the system demon
