The Story
Grange Power is a sustainable power plant that will be powered by 6 × MAN 18V51/60DF engines, the power plant at Dublin's Grange Castle Business Park will feed a total of 111 MW of electrical energy into the Irish grid where it will act as a peak shaver to cover peak loads. The operator is a global leader for sustainable and decentralized energy projects.
Why It Should Win
Farleng Engineering Limited are under a new management team and we are thriving towards becoming a more greener more sustainable environmental friendly business. This project is one of the first green power plants under construction in Ireland.
This pipe Bridge was designed, fabricated and built off site to allow the MEP contractor to install their services before being transported as a special load to site, ready for install. The installation and logistical process requiring road closures and permits and fully coordinated with SDCC.
Installation was highly complex due to the overall size and weight of the pipe bridge when it was fully loaded, to complete the install Farleng Engineering limited team lead by our most senior site supervisors, our crane appointed Person and experienced banksmen opted using the methodology of tandem lift with the use of the onsite tower crane and a 300t mobile crane.
The installation went without any issues and always under the watchful eyes of the clients EHS team.
