Finalist in: Promenades at Places of Historical and Natural Significance
The Story
This artistic viewing plaƞorm is designed by the OPW and Paul Arnold Architects site on
the edge of the Atlantic and hosts thousands of visitors each year. The structure is fabricated from Duplex Stainless Steel with the balustrade and flooring fabricated from Corten steel. This was a unique piece designed with the Wild Atlantic Way logo as the platform shape. The balustrade was laser cut from 12mm plate with thousands of holes
all various sizes to create an artistic view. This new and exciting addition to the tourism infrastructure of the Dingle Peninsula, designed by Paul Arnold Architects was built by the Office of Public Works under a strategic partnership with Fáilte Ireland.
