Who Should Nominate

Businesses and artisans specialising in the high-quality custom design, meticulous fabrication, superior finishing, and precise installation of functional and aesthetically outstanding steel gates, railings, fences, doors, and screens.

Eligibility

Your work on the nominated architectural metalwork project must have been completed or significantly progressed between 1st July 2023 and 30th June 2025. The work must have been produced by a registered fabrication business based on the island of Ireland (the final erected location can be outside of Ireland). Submissions should strongly emphasise exceptional workmanship, mastery of traditional or modern fabrication and finishing techniques, keen attention to detail, technical precision in fit and function, innovative design elements (whether contemporary or traditional), and strict adherence to safety and best practice standards. The project should reflect industry-leading quality and craftsmanship, enhancing your company's reputation.

What Judges Look For

Overall quality of design, fabrication, finish, and installation; Innovation in aesthetic design, operational mechanisms, or material use; Technical Execution demonstrating skilled craftsmanship; Durability, functionality, and security offered by the metalwork; Collaboration with clients, designers, or architects to achieve the desired outcome.

  5. Project Team (Essential where available): Details of the designer (if separate), lead fabricators, specialist finishers (e.g., galvanisers, powder coaters), installers, and the client or architect who commissioned the work.
  6. Project Summary (max 50 words)
  7. Full Project Description (max 1,000 words): Tell us the story of the project. Include details such as describing the design inspiration, material choices, key fabrication features, finishing process, installation challenges, and how the work enhances the site.
  8. Why Should It Win? – Focus on its craftsmanship, design merit, and functionality.
  9. Project Images (min 2, max 5 high-quality, showing the installed work clearly, and details of craftsmanship)
