OMC Technologies | Irish Harp for 30 year Twinning anniversary
Unmistaken symbol of Ireland and suitable for a French village was the brief given to us.
Options were numerus, from an outline of Ireland to high crosses, to Celtic designs, but next to the shamrock one stands out and that was the Harp!
The Harp will be presented to the French village during their visit in July 2025. Finished project will consist of the harp sitting on a stone plinth in the French village.
Installation will follow by members of the Irish village in France. Options here were material to create the harp?
Location being Brittany and the distance for any maintenance it was decided to make it in stainless steel and PPC to the clients colours .
Celtic patterns/knots vectorised and edited. All parts laser cut and edges softened to help paint adhesion.
We believe this project is worthy of the award for the design which includes the Celtic patters, strings and exact shape of the Harp. It was a really clever design incorporating the
Celtic patterns, writings in English, Irish & French.
Designed to be prominent but not overstated, this piece will be viewed by thousands of visitors every year to Britany. It had to be something that symbolised Ireland and what better way than through music and culture.
